This work offers a reinterpretation of the Statue of Liberty, re-materialized in a world that has lost the meaning of its promise. The figure no longer embodies an idealized liberty, but a tired liberty, worn out by time, contradictions, and contemporary violence.
Matter takes precedence over the symbol. The statue is no longer an untouchable monument, but a fragile body, subject to the same tensions as those it was meant to protect. Freedom is no longer self-evident: it becomes a question, almost a doubt.
This re-materialization questions our relationship with ideals. What remains of freedom when it is repeated, distorted, emptied of its meaning? The work does not celebrate a myth; it shows its erosion.
