Materials used: Wood and natural pigments (wine, ochres, charcoal, carrot)
Thomas sought success.
He understood that it is never built in a straight line.
That's why I chose wood.
Its curved veins tell of detours, accidents, delays…
all that, ultimately, builds a life.
Charcoal represents trials.
What burns… but gives depth.
Wine crosses his face.
Not like a wound.
Like time that transforms.
There is also ochre, carrot tops.
Simple materials, sometimes rejected.
Like certain periods of our lives.
Thomas is not a perfect face.
He is a face marked by life.
